You might not think twice about them, but insoles are a huge deal! They have various added benefits that are important to know about, so take advantage of them to maximize the comfort of your shoes. In the most general sense, insoles can be the reason that a pair of shoes will go from slightly loose to the perfect fit, or give that extra cushioning for comfort. If you live in an area with very cold weather, they can also help to give you some extra warmth as they provided extra insolation.
With a little TLC, shoes can last much longer than you think, and a pair of good leather shoes can last for years and years. It may seem like a tedious job, but taking good care of your shoes only needs about 10 to 15 minutes every so often.
As we always state, your feet are unique to you, and finding the right pair of shoes can sometimes be a little tricky. We also know that genuine leather shoes tend to stretch after a few wears, but sometimes, getting to that comfortable spot may be a bit uncomfortable, and buying the next size up wouldn’t make much sense considering that they too would eventually stretch and then become too loose!
Using your hands to create changes everything.
I really and truly fell in love with craftsmanship and leather works only when I started working with my own hands. It was one thing to walk into a boutique or atelier and smell, experience and appreciate, but it was a completely different level when I started executing the entire process from A to Z myself. One’s love for design, product, and creation is one thing, but the love of making is another.
There needs to come a time when the age-old question concerning ‘form or function’ should no longer stand. I do believe that we are getting closer to this time, however, I also believe that some of us need a bit of a reminder! I also believe that
Dress shoes.
What are they really? And is there is specific guideline to make sure that your shoes are ‘dressed up’ enough?
Well, this may differ for men and woman, or at least would traditionally, but in the traditional (and very British) sense, a dress shoe is the type of footwear that would be worn to a black-tie ball or similar formal event.
The creative world is infused with passion, chaos and freedom. It is a limitless world with no boundaries. Using creativity in parallel to design in an aim to create products that have a beautiful aesthetic while remaining relevant and functional is another form of art that, in this case, requires a certain amount of organization – which is one of my most favorite skills if I may add!
The first step in finding the right pair of shoes may surely begin with falling in love with the design of a pair, but then, a whole bunch of requirements are needed to make sure it’s the absolute right one. We have all purchased that beautiful shoe the in the most perfect colour that very quickly turns into a very sore reminder that a beautiful pair of uncomfortable shoes will always remain as such. It will unfortunately gradually collect dust in the back of your shoe closet because the pain is nowhere near worth the look.
If you are blessed to live in a country with a perfect summer, then you can without a doubt spend your entire time outdoors enjoying warm summer days and cool summer nights. It would be the season for lunches in the mountains and dinners by the beachfront, for exploring the small and winding village streets and uncovering hidden gems of boutiques and cafes.
